Peter, your question just got a lot more complex on several levels. Multi-warehouses, cycle counting, and there will be more. As you probably know, the default warehouse from the order master (MOMAST) is what is assumed for all the components. I successfully implemented a multi-warehouse solution with backflushing using operation where first used, but it took some custom coding to generate the issues and transfers. It wasn't a difficult solution, but it did take some custom programming to stock the proper floor locations and track them (we didn't use ST01, or controlled floor stock). It's too long for this thread, if you'd like me to give you more detail, email me directly. Is your team TW transacting inventory into ST01? Kevin We are lucky that we are not using ST* locations at all. One of our locations is trying backflush for the first time, so we do not have issues... yet... :o). They want to use it for some of their products and they had these questions. I thought that originally they were asking that if the do backflush on items, if the items tied to the mfg order can be "mixed" (from different warehouses at the same time) so that when the backflush action executes, then the material is pulled from those multiple warehouses. Then, I got a little confused with additional comments in a second and third email along the lines of implementing this for their products and the fact of the effect on cycle count processes. At that point I wanted to share the question on the list to have a more "down to earth" advises on this. I believe that you guys have helped me answer my original question(s) and helped me to see some of the most obvious "corners" and things to be concerned about of this feature. Thanks!
