System Link-Order/Customer Comments

Hello All,

 

Does anyone have any insight into the comments in COM?

 

We are building an application using System Link to convert quotes from
our custom offsite quoting application (created with ColdFusion) into
orders. (Release 7.7 of XA).  We have this working EXCEPT for
Customer/Order/Item Comments.  This part of COM is really putting a
wrench into us completing this application.

 

We currently use green screen for order entry-and I could list several
reasons from our customer service staff as to why they cannot move to
PowerLink. 

PowerLink does not remind them (pages of screens in green screen) to
check the shipping address, does not allow for comment changes, is not
as fast, etc, etc.  While I'm sure some of you could help me with
templates to fix some of these issues, until there is a mandate and
support from management this is not a fact that will change soon. (But I
would be interested in those templates!)  I tell you this because an
easy fix is to move comments from the green screen using Enterprise
Integrator, but I can't do that until we are using PowerLink for order
entry.

 

Our CS staff uses comments on orders for everything-Buyer information,
email addresses, special shipping instructions, whether the order is CC,
etc.  In green screen, I can go to comments in COM to see these
comments, or I can select them during order entry.  I can modify,
delete, and add.  In PowerLink I don't have the option, but more
importantly I don't know how to create the xml document to control any
of this for my quotes to orders. If the comment is set up as auto
include, it gets included on all documentation (which makes sense)-what
I don't know how to do is control which comments can be seen in the
quote application because I cannot find the files in COM that hold them
all.  I have found MBAWREP-but there is no customer number in there for
the customer specific comments, found MBAXREP but don't know how to
control when to show it.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated!!
