We from Barry-Wehmiller being one of the largest users of XA, attended
the Virtual Inforum conference this year. We definitely found it to be
interesting and informative. In the first place it was good innovative
thinking on the part of Infor. Being part of the Infor Product Advisory
Council for XA it made a lot of sense for us.

There were some interesting up-dates for the XA world. With all the
customer feedback that came in last time, they have made serious headway
into the development of the product. You might be aware, XA R9 is out
for G.A in Mar 2010.

CRMi, PM 10 and Infor MyDay are some of the additional solutions that
they have come up with. They all seem to make life easier for power
users of an organization. Infor has definitely taken efforts to make an
impact on the business processes of its customers.

I've followed your queries about FRx and PM10, and how you felt PM10 was
an overkill for your organization. Interestingly, you can implement PM
10 just as a replacement for FRx without going in for the full suite.

I was on vacation that week with Mickey. But I did sign up so my staff
could sign in. I also was able to watch the following week.

If one has been following INFOR, I don't think you learned a great deal.
One on One still seems to be the best way to understand what is being
offered and how it's going to effect your company.

I thought it was OK, worth the money not sure.

My staff did learn something new, so it was worth something.

You have to give INFOR cudo's for attempting a new technology solution.
Understand the reason was the original mistake of moving the 2008
INFORUM
from spring to fall.  They received a large dose of reality with the
number
of customer complaints.  To their credit, at the fall show in Las Vegas
they
immediately announced that the next INFORUM would be in the spring.
Since
that meant 6 months from Las Vegas, they wisely chose to move it to
spring
2010.  That left a large 18 month gap in the marketing / development
cycles
as one of the primary reasons for the annual shows (INFORUM, SAPHIRE,
etc.)
is to allow companies to preview products and changes to get into the
budgeting cycles.  Recognizing this, they came up with the creative
solution
of the INFORUM Online conference.

I agree with the comments, that within a product line, if you are
keeping up
with INFOR there was not a lot of new news.  But for those that focus on
the
issues once a year for their budget cycles, in my opinion it would have
been
helpful.

I found a couple of sessions of interest.  So for me, the $49 was well
worth
it.  Just think, for less than the cost of a meal.
