Re: Windows 7 and PowerLink 7.8

Windows 7 will not be officially supported until Development gets the opportunity to do some more extensive testing.  Our internal test had uncovered the problem you are experiencing.  The 31.17 fix was only released this morning.  

Before we can declare support for Windows 7, we still must coordinate our statement of support with all of the partner products that make up the XA solution.

I will get that loaded right away. I am running 31.16 so this must be
really new.
Wish Support would of told me this yesterday, instead of saying they
just don't support Windows 7.

This Windows 7 specific issue has been resolved with R7.8 fix build
level 31.17 which is now available from infor365.com. This level must be
applied to the global environment as well.

I can get Powerlink to work on Vista , right out of the box, no problem.
Windows 7 is somehow blocking the program. Problem is, not sure how it
is doing it.

I told the firewall to allow it, turn off user control. 

And going back to XP on this machine is not a option right now.

Is it supposed to work on Vista?  7 is just Vista fixed, IMHO.  Find out

what it takes to get it to work on Vista, do the same on 7, and it will 
probably work.
