We have resolved this problem by doing a MAPICS unattended backup to disk and adding pre- and post-backup programs to backup the other libraries and objects that we want to save to tape. We want to start backing up all of our data onto one tape using Backup assistant rather than having to work around application backups. If we stop doing the Mapics backup and include the Mapics libraries in the regular backup, we can do it all in one step. The fear is that Mapics is doing something else. Fear founded or not?
