Let's not confuse field attribute values with code tables. Best practice is to use code tables. I know of no limits other than iSeries file limits Kevin mobile (909) 762-1384 -----Original Message----- From: mapics-l-bounces-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected] [mailto:mapics-l-bounces-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, April 28, 2010 10:40 AM To: MAPICS ERP System Discussion Subject: Re: [MAPICS-L] Enterprise Integrator Attributes I had this problem last year and had to create 2 files. I was told at that time that the record length limit was 1024 characters. I would like to know if that is correct. I had to define logical files and redefine. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nemes, Therese" [[email protected]] Sent: 04/28/2010 10:21 AM EST To: <mapics-l-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected]> Subject: [MAPICS-L] Enterprise Integrator Attributes Good Morning everyone! I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a limitation on the number of attributes or the size of a file that you can use in Business objects. I added numerous fields to the DDS of a file that we have and compiled it. I was able to sync it in Integrator with no issues. When we try to open the object in Power Link we receive this error - com pjx cfo.util AssertionError. Error loading remote method map. Our file has 342 attributes and the length is 1496. Has anyone else run into anything like this? _______________________________________________ The information transmitted in this e-mail is intended only for the person or entity to which it is addressed and contains confidential and/or privileged material.
