If you're short on VB resources, or other programming resources, you can still do a mass change via reg import/export (ok, reg hack!). To create a master reg profile for everyone to use: Open the registry using regedit command on the run box. Search for your library: "AMFLIBA" (or *LIBL, etc) or simply navigate to the definition under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBC.INI\*ODBC NAME HERE* Right-click the entry and select to export the entry, edit using notepad and change the library name to what you want. You can also strip out redundancies to increase your comfort level. Put the file in a network location and have users run it via a hyperlink in email. Unless the desktops are super locked down, it should work. You cannot email it, as Outlook will block it. Your network person may have ideas on pushing it out via script/group policies. We've used similar techniques to manage db's info for ASNA, MC2, Highjump, etc. You can also use DOS or CMD (REXX) variations. Hi Dean, We were in something similar (going from one environment to another, even though we stayed in the same release). Well, the bad news is that there was no way that the ODBCs would automatically recognize the change or that there was a simple and systematic way of doing it. However, one of our IT gurus, was able to develop a Visual Basic Program that was able to fix the ODBC sources for each PC. I know is doable with VB.
