I recall inquiring at Symantec, and it was not a supported platform. I don't recall finding anything that made more sense that the native tools. However, if you are interested in non-tape ideas, I suggest using CL to submit batches to create savf's (or MAPICS backup to disk) then scripting FTP to copy the binary object to the NAS. If your AS400 has a GB NIC, or secondary NIC (or off hours) you'll be amazed at how fast it transfers. I believe at one time, PK-ZIP made and AS400 product that could schedule/script zipping and pushing of objects.
