CDSLCK file

Hi I have checked and the file also exists at release 9

I am fairly sure it's a file used to check locks but cant find any other
info

Has been used by CPYINTWRK according to history

Does anyone know what the CDSLCK file is used for?  R7.8 Backup failed
due to a "lock" on the CDSLCK file not getting saved in the AMFLIB.
File has no description on it.
