We have been very successful with Thru-Put as a finite, constraint based scheduler. Although it is sold by Infor, it is a free standing windows based application with interface to XA and some other ERPs I believe. I would be happy to answer questions on our use offline if you want. Want to interface to MAPICS to do both short term scheduling of firm and open shop orders as well as long term scheduling of the full production plan.
