You should also be able to find some relevant information and fixes by searching the Infor365 site:  select the Search option under the Solutions tab, click the Product Line dropdown and select XA, then enter PSVTUE in the Search For field and press Search.

Background:  in release 7.8, the COM/IFM Credit Update process was deprecated, and the new eFin Ujob was established.  Several things run through this new ujob:

                Transactions that affect credit information run to update new balance summary files.  This replaces the old process so that the values are updated constantly, instead of the user having to submit the old process, which showed more "historical" information.  The new credit information should be effectively "real time".

                The new balance summary files contain information in several different currencies, such as Ledger, Financial Division, Local, Euro, Entity, and Entity Group.  The rates used are "cached" to ensure that the same rates are used across all transaction updates, even if a user is in the process of maintaining exchange rates.  The balance summary values are "refreshed" with the current exchange rates at two different times, either automatically shortly after midnight, or the user may submit a refresh at will from the "Work with Current Exchange Rates" function by pressing F9 (Reconvert personal account balances) after they are done modifying exchange rates.


The first time this job is run, it will build the new balance summary files from scratch, which typically takes a significant amount of time to run, and involves a large number of transactions running through the ujob.

                After the initial load, the nightly job is run shortly after midnight, submitted by the IFMEFFUPD job.  The nightly job should run more quickly and involve fewer transactions:  only those records affected by exchange rate changes will be updated.

1.        If you are single currency, the nightly job will end very quickly, since no updates need to be performed.

2.       If your exchange rates have not changed that day, the job will also end quickly, as no updates will need to be performed.

3.       If your exchange rates change nightly, only transactions for those affected will be processed.

The nightly Aged Balance updates also run through this ujob.  It is recommended that you allow this job to run at all times to ensure that your aging and credit balance information is correct.   Once the initial load has completed, and after the nightly updates have been processed in the early morning hours, during the day you should see this job mostly staying in a DEQW status.   When users change information that affects credit balances, some transactions are submitted through the ujob which will update the related balance information, and then ujob will again return to a DEQW state.  Examples of transactions that affect the balance summaries are AP, AR, or unallocated cash transactions, COM order changes, or maintenance to Credit Limits on the Personal Account, Entity, or Entity Group.


It is important that you are up to date on all fixes associated with this area, as significant performance improvements have been made and are available for download.
