Josh,

If your 'requirements' are open...I can share some information about our payroll process which uses Kronos and ADP.  However, if your requirements are to integrate with payroll for business reasons...I don't have any insight to lend.
 
We outsource payroll generation to ADP.  We then obtain a download from ADP which we upload to our general ledger.  We don't 'synchronize' any employee payroll related information since it is managed in ADP only.

I think this begs the question of why aren't you going with ADP?

We'll be going live with ADP Jan 1st, 2011.

I am building an application for our company to interface with XA's payroll functionality.  I need to be able to manage accruals (vacation, sick, etc.), salaries, etc. outside of XA and have the balances/current data synchronize with XA.  Has anyone done a project like this who can offer some words of wisdom?  I did a quick search of the archives and didn't seem to get much info based on searching payroll, and some of the related file names.
