The challenge of using the Broker exits will be the fact the "data" is not written to the files yet so a bit difficult to check. Note you may want to post this on the [1]www.xaeigroup.com site as we get more developers reviewing this that may be able to give some direction. (Enterprise Integrator User Group) Their is an end-order user exit which is available (Rel 7.8 I know) that you could tap into and then use a user message to pop-up (via using the traditional Edit broker over line items). Just some initial thoughts.. A good challenge! I think their is a way..Just need to test some things (just recommend putting this on the developer site there so you get more developer input) Kevin ------------------------------------------- Kevin Gerard, Senior Technical Consultant TriMin Systems, Inc. - Infor Channel Partner [2]kevin.gerard-IaJHbxZe/[email protected] Direct 309-932-3103 Mobile 309-883-1689 [3]www.triminmfg.com "We are committed to helping manufacturing companies improve their Visibility, Productivity, Growth and Profitability" -----mapics-l-bounces-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected] wrote: ----- To: "MAPICS ERP System Discussion" <mapics-l-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected]> From: "Kevin D Fox" <[email protected]> Sent by: mapics-l-bounces-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected] Date: 10/06/2010 12:06PM Subject: Re: [MAPICS-L] Powerlink temporary storage Ricky I would use the logical application functions or the user definable user exits which can be added to the order entry logic See the Enterprise Integrator help text for details Kevin Fox Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry -----Original Message----- From: Ricky Thompson <[email protected]> Sender: mapics-l-bounces-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected] Date: Wed, 6 Oct 2010 16:54:01 To: mapics-l-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected]<mapics-l-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected]> Reply-To: MAPICS ERP System Discussion <mapics-l-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected]> Subject: [MAPICS-L] Powerlink temporary storage I have a requirement to edit an Customer Order Line Items as they are being entered. If they enter a certain Item Number I need to check and read through the order lines to make sure they haven't entered another Item with a different class item. Powerlink appears to only write the order line items to the database at the end of the order. Is it storing the data somewhere else besides the order file until the end the order or is it just keeping it all in memory? I have a work around by writing it to a temporary file but I would like a cleaner way of doing it if possible.
