Thanks for sharing this Greg.  I'll use this query as a basis to create
a report of who has task type MNT, which I've never done before.

However, I just want to point out that just because a user has an option
doesn't mean she can use it; she needs to be authorized to the task
also.

Try this ... see if it gives you something useful:

create a query

     Please forgive my ineptness where Mapics is concerned.  What I'm
task at doing is producing a file that contains a specific users
authorized menus and all authorized options on that menu(s).  Are you
telling me that Cross Apps/Maintenance-Change/Security
Maintenance/Generate Reports capable of doing this (producing a file
rather than a report)?  If not, can you give me a little guidance as to
which files I should be looking at?

Why not use Cross Apps/Maintenance-Change/Security Maintenance/Generate
Reports Available in XAR4  --- should be in later versions too.
