This is a vendor's response

One solution might be the Systems Plus bolt-on application for Mapics.
The application is demand driven (customer or master schedule), retaining
the demand details.
By retaining the demand detail the required supplies (PO and Shop Orders)
can be linked back to the supported demand.

Because a single PO or Shop Order is linked to ALL supported top level
demand several very powerful capabilities are supported.
One is the reporting of all lower level components required by top level
demand - essentially what your user requested.
Another is the calculation of a projected ship date for every demand.

Plus there is a business intelligence component, complete with graphics.

Subject: [MAPICS-L] How I can determine "real" requirements on REQMTS?

Good morning / afternoon:

An user wants to create a query, reading REQMTS, and he wants to list all
requirements but excluding anything that has to do with forecast. We know
we have available:

RQSOR = 2 propagated requirement
RQSOR = 3 customer requirement (redundant)
RQSOR = 4 blanket customer order (redundant) RQSOR = 6 manual requirement
RQSOR = 7 held customer requirement if RQCID *NE blanks; held manual
requirement if RQCID *EQ blanks RQSOR = 8 dependent requirements RQSOR = A
material allocations

However, I believe that I may have to bring into the formula additional
fields like RQCID and RQPRT so we can get more definite scenarios to include
here.

Your inputs are really appreciated, as always.
