Use of Selling unit of Measure

Hello Group, We are looking to change some items from unit of measure " EA" to a different sale unit of measure like "K" (for 1,000) and I'm trying to find what will things are affected in the system... How the backlog MBADREP / MBCDREP files are updated? How the Monthly activity MTHCTE is updated? Do you have any document or presentation that we can use? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
