What I did was add a user field to the PO header panel (they printed from entry/maintenance), and used a custom version of the PO print program (AM64M, if I recall correctly). As a general rule, I didn't like modifying XA code, but I didn't mind print programs much as they generally (I stress generally) don't do much if any updates - and I restricted the enhancements as much as possible. That was working at R6, but it tested out correctly on the R7.8 upgrade. Unfortunately, the company is now defunct, or I would get you the literal code - but it wasn't a difficult change. I want to allow authorized users to print and email purchase orders they create to themselves. The 'wrinkle' I am struggling with is I want the user to be able to print the purchase order with or without a signature. The user is authorized to print and sign the purchase order. However, we want the user to be able to print 'draft' / 'interim' versions of the purchase order without a signature...similar to our physical signature process. I was planning to send the purchase orders to an outq called 'draft' if a signature is not required....and an outq called 'signed' when the signature is required. If working with the spool files...this is straightforward...but our users generally print using host print in Power-Link...and most never sign on to the iseries to change an outq. I'm not aware of any method for user's to change outq within Power-Link... Changing the form type would work well too.. I am looking for ideas or guidance...perhaps I can call the XA purchase order print program from another option or integrator object...and override the form type on the PO?
