Re: Strategies to Minimize IPLs

Our iSeries is about 18 months old and we have easily gone over 6 months at a time without an IPL. Last time it happened was due to a 3 hour power outage. The closest we've come to a "must" IPL we were able to do a reclaim storage instead (to fix a problem with Amflib triggers). V6R1 has been working very well for us.
