Our experience is that when we set quantity limits for a contract price, our customer service people will see an informational warning, but the actual limit is not "enforced". (We understand that a MAPICS contract is not "expired" until the date limit is reached.) We are hoping to monitor these "special" prices so that the price expires when the quantity is reached or the date is reached, whichever comes first. Is anyone using a similar "promotion" pricing for specific items for specific customers with the contract price function in MAPICS? Has anyone created a means of enforcing the contract pricing quantity limits to effectively force a customer order for a quantity of "20",(when there are only "10" units available in the contract) to process this as a quantity of 10 at the "contract" price and the remaining quantity at the standard pricebook price? (We are looking to start with a batch program to "expire" specific contract items when their quantity limit is met or exceeded, but this only partially addresses our problem.)
