We are using the BOS (Better On-line Solutions) e-Twin@x Controller, and it supported all of our twinax needs EXCEPT ONE!

So beware, it will NOT Support very old/legacy 5250 emulation that used SNA LU6.2 (My recollection)

In our case it was a OS/2 IBM PC that was running a old version Communications Manager/2 (Version 1.11)  It delayed our transition to the new POWER 6 box, until our 3rd party tech support was able to come up with a solution, which did cost time and money.

The e-Twin@x Controller has been running without issue for over two years now.

Lesson learned, test BEFORE Cutover!

We also use  an e-twinax 3 device controller to support 2 old twinax devices on our Power6. Configuration is via http web interface. The device converts any twinax device so the iSeries sees it as  native IP. It comes with software that keeps the twinax devices up and running,  no need to vary devices off and back on if there's an error. It's been very reliable -  "Set it and forget it."
