Update to the problem (first reported in Dec.): After seeing the info from Ed Kandel in March (thanks Ed!) we turned on the API UMBCOD5R to automatically update order qty to match the sum of the blanket releases. We found there were fewer booking errors, but there is still a significant number of errors, particularly for one customer's blanket orders. The customer's orders are updated via offline load. Infor tech support at first could not recreate the problem. Last week they confirmed that there is a problem when adding additional releases to existing blanket orders (that have shipped qtys against previous releases) via offline load. Our internal audits discovered that the shipped qty is removed from the order total (CDACQT) . However, Tech Support says that because there is a work aro
und they are not issuing an APAR. The work around is use System-Link, as apparently it works correctly in this situation. However, we do not have System Link, so that helps me not at all.!
I am going to implement a fix-the-bad-data program that will run immediately after the off-line load. Not the cure I was hoping for, but at least we can now put an end to the incorrect MTHACTE bookings records.
