WRKCTR shift length and capacity fields

Are the DLEN1, MCAP1, DLEN2, MCAP2, etc., fields in the WRKCTR file used for any calculations if PCC is not installed? We don't have PCC, but we do have REP and PMC and we're running XAR5.5 green screen (soon to be XAR9, but this query has nothing to do with it).
