Skip,

I could be wrong, but I don't believe you can change the actual printer file name after it's generated - do a CHGSPLFA for a specific print file on an outq and you'll see what I mean.  (You can also just put a '2' in front of a print file on an outq.)

I've successfully pulled print files off an outq using USRDTA or FORMTYPE for identification, but I had those fields identified when they were generated or immediately afterwards within the CL (passed parms).  That approach requires source code.

I think you'll have to write a CL to pull using filename AM64MRPx or whatever formtype you have your POs saved as, and write something to read the spool file itself and get the PO# from within the file, then do an CHGSPLFA and load the PO# in USRDTA (accessible with a CL), then manipulate it after that.

It'd be a lot easier if you had the source for AM64M, you could issue the change within there to plug the PO# into USRDTA within the program.  Can't your affiliate get you just that source?  I'd think the charge would be worth the amount of time you'll spend doing it the hard way.
