I would add, You may want to RM to a 'Line location', i.e. 'Floor' location associated with this W/C, 'controlled WH.' Then have the material handler TW to either a Stock Loc (WH) or another point of use Line location using a 'hand held mobile device'. Accurate and timely. You also have the ability to back flush any components from an operation off (within MES) at the W/C assigned location. You can Print a Stock Label as well at RM complete time. Bar code as much as possible to save time and increase accuracy. The supervisor should be responsible for 'his line' inventory, and check cycle count regularly. Any excess - Return to Stock (TW). Be sure to paint the floor so we know if the component is in inventory or WIP (i.e. issued to the MO). This feature in MES is quite a bit like the REP Module. Hope this helps.
