Michael,

I cannot speak to the interface to Thruput directly, but the EPDM
functionality is really very nice - if properly planned and implemented.
Hopefully you have already handled all of this, but let me just mention a
few things that are important to be aware of:
1)  Have a plan for using (or not using) revisions in EPDM.  The business
linkage to any engineering system you have can be complicated, particularly
if you have well-worn processes that everyone is very accustomed to.
2)  Be aware of effectivity dates everywhere and their impact on MRP,
customer orders, production orders, etc.   I found this to be very
confounding at times when you were trying to figure out why a certain bill
was in use or which revision was picked up.   Your design of using the
system can be simple or can be sophisticated and with that comes some
degree of complexity to work out.
3)  Consider your product life cycle and how EPDM could help you keep track
of it (the Implementation Status field has lots of function behind it, but
you would have to design a new process to use it, since that's new and
different from PDM).
Those are just my initial thoughts for you to consider - and possibly
you're already well beyond those issues.
