Jeff There are a few options out there that you could look at. Each one offers a different approach to doing barcode scanning and how their software integrates into XA. When choosing a vendor, it would be helpful to find someone that can offer you a turnkey solution from hardware, software, implementation and even media/printing options. Make sure that the hardware you chose matches the environment that you are in, because if your hardware solution fails, your users will stop using the system. Costs along with flexibility and the ability for you and your team to support and maintain the solution should be important too so do your homework. If you would like to discuss this further off line, our company does have such a solution that we have been integrating with XA clients like yourself for the past 20 year including a unique approach to the SA transaction. My company is in the process of looking for a bar code solution for our manufacturing plants. I of course want it to integrate with XA with minimal effort. I was wondering if anyone on the list had anything they could recommend. Would love to find an entire solution with hardware and middleware. The main goals of the project are: 1) ability to scan the bar code and check against pick list 2) possibly create the shipment record in XA 3) able to scan each pallet and update XA and update inventory We have worked with our business partner, but it have not found the right solution for us. Any help would be appreciated.
