We use Avalara SalesTaxII product. It is iSeries based and interfaced with COM. However I just heard about a week ago that Avalara is dropping support (including the monthly rate updates) of SalesTaxII at the end of 2016. Their alternative solution is AvaTax which is a web service type interface. They supposedly have an off the shelf interface for XA COM for AvaTax. I have a meeting with my Avalara sales rep later today.
