From EPDM --> Item Revisions,   right click or click on ‘Maintain’ then select ‘Release to PDM’,   also you have the option to do mass release.

Note:  The Release to PDM, depends on the field called ‘Implementation status’ from the Item Revision and it must be as  ‘Release to Manufacturing’ in order to create the regular ITEMASA, B, C and can then be used in IM, PURchasing, etc.







Check this from the EPDM user guide:

Use the Implementation Statuses object to define status codes that mark an item as ready or not ready for release to

engineering and release to manufacturing. When an item has a status of ready for release to

engineering, the item has completed the design phase and can be released to PDM and become

an available engineering record for other applications. When an item has a status of ready for

release to manufacturing, manufacturing orders can be released to the factory from IM & MRP3

As I recall, in Power-Link you should have an option to release if you right click on the item.  I believe there is also a function on the menus to release the item.  There may also be a ‘green screen’ / command that you could execute after confirming this resolves the immediate concern.

If I remember correctly,  ITEMASA is created or updated only when you release a Site/Item/Revision from EPDM

Hi,

Do anybody could give me a recommendation.

I use Mapics XA rel. 6

I add an item number by EPDM but the information stay only in files: ITMRVA, ITMRVB, ITMRVC. But the item is not on ITEMASA.



Any suggestion is well received.
