The open-source projects that I'm involved in have had lots of activity. > looked into the archive and saw where John Ross was blasted for trying to > start up something. That was cruel.. (OK, smart guy, YOU suggest > something fun too do then!). I fail to see a message in Mr. Ross' thread that was not respectful. Where is he getting "blistered", exactly? He said he had not worked on an open-source project and he wanted to document the steps. I tried to explain to him that the steps he had taken were different from most open-source projects. I felt that if he was trying to learn the process, he'd find that information useful. It was never intended to be criticism, it was intended to be instructional. > > Therefore, I declare a POX on the open source community. But if you want to put a pox on me, great, have a blast. > Open Source on the 400 is dead anyway.. You can believe that if it makes you happy. Since it's so dead, I'm sure you'll be happy to unsubscribe yourself from this mailing list. > > Why are we trying to emulate something that is successful on other > platforms?? > Wow. The question even answers itself. > Up Everyone's, > Craig Rutledge > (but before you go, visit www.jcrcmds.com) Cool, now I can add "Up Everyone's" to my list of memorable quotes from Craig Rutledge. That means it can go beside things like "screw FTP! IFS chills up my spine" and "Rip you a new a--hole". And the ever popular "rape his wife and steal his livestock, (or vice-versa) while he lays there bleeding to death." All of which have occurred within the 11 total messages that Mr. Rutledge has posted to this list. _______________________________________________ This is the Open Source Software for the AS400/iSeries (OSS400) mailing list To post a message email: OSS400-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected] To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/oss400 or email: OSS400-request-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected] Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/oss400.
