Charles, The DRDA specification was donated to the Open Group by IBM (http://www.opengroup.org/). I have also learned that not all DRDA's are equal. Why have you not taken the idea further? I was thinking about a DRDA-JDBC interface. So that you could load any DB's type 4 JDBC driver to the 400 and be able to access the data as you would any other remote DRDA DB. IBM publishes the DRDA standards you need. I don't have the links handy, I think I've still got them at home. Feel free to contact me off list.
