Thank you. I copied that. I added one line in the appropriate place to update a file using the RUNSQL utility. Then I do a DSPJRN and this is what I see: Job . . . . . . . . : 890246/ROB/ROBS1 User profile . . . . : ROBDELME So, I was logged on as ROB. Then I switched to the profile ROBDELME and updated that row. Works fine. You CAN see both. Now you just have to be aware of this in your journal entries. I haven't gotten to the "other" file systems yet. So, at this point, I'm still goin' down the golden brick road. The problem is that I can't see all the dips that are ahead of me in that road which will require a different methodology. Therefore my question about what the swapping looks like...
