Mike, what product are you going to use?  Reply offline.  I have extensive
experience with a few of them.

I would like to thank everyone for the feedback. We are going to try out a
third-party product and take that approach. I am a a bit nervous about
writing something that could affect the live applications that are already
running using ODBC while I am developing it.
