But everything in the message headers looked legit. Yeah, the headers were fine all along. What changed seems to be the way that certain mail servers accept the "From" address. The setting change I made replaces the poster's address in the From: header (eg: [email protected]) with the mailing list's posting address ([email protected]) and adds the poster's address to the Reply-To: header. This "header munge" should only take place when someone posts to the list from a domain that has a DMARC reject or quarantine policy in place, such as Yahoo, AOL, or the like.
