To be 100% clear: You CANNOT charge batteries in a newt unless you have a modified battery tray or a battery pack. All this utility (Nicks Softcharge) does it tell the little battery bar/indicator/meter what type of batteries you have installed so it is more accurate. It is handy/nice but not necessary as AA rechargeable batteries will work fine in a Newt. But it might say you have 3/4th capacity when you put in a fully charged set without the utility. Clear? :) -Dan On 4/26/2019 1:21 PM, Gene beaird wrote: > I’m not 100% clear on this. Does this mean with this utility installed that you _can_ recharge your rechargeable AAs with the Newton power supply/charger with the AA battery tray in the Newton? That would be cool if that was possible! > > Regards, > > Gene Beaird, > Pearland, Texas ---------------------------------------------------------------------- http://newtontalk.net/ http://twitter.com/newtontalk
