Re: Trouble with the ftdi chipset cable

HI Rufus,

I am about to buy a cable for my first physical (non-Einstein) in years since my beloved MP 130 lost a zillion years ago.

Any proven and suggested cable that I should buy?  A link would most be appreciated, as I believe I remember how easy is to but the wrong one. (And I am sure I would probably mistakenly buy the incorrect one if you let me :) )

At this point, just in case, since I would love to learn to solder my way out, but do not know (nor have the equipment to do it), I am considering buying a Serial to PC cable, in the hopes to find a PC Serial to USB dongle, and use Parallels Desktop on my Mac to emulate a PC and Syncing with it.

Is this a working  way? (Any Newton to Windows 10 syncing tips?)  (I also have Windows XP I believe)

I am about to embark in buying a newish MP 2100 and it will cost about $670 with cable, wifi card, screen protector films, and it would be sad if I cannot add any software to it …   it would be my workhorse for promoting Newton and Einstein.
