Folks, the call for papers for LISA 2001 is out. LISA is
the premier conference for our kind of sysadmin; in San
Diego, in December... Papers and stuff due early June...

If Arusha is generally usable and beyond the work-in-progress stage by
June (or if you can anticipate that it will be by December), I say "go for
it."
Otherwise, they have a WIP (works-in-progress) session on the last day of
the conference.
I submitted a PIKT paper two years ago and was rejected, resubmitted last
year and was accepted. I can offer advice on how to be accepted. So can
you--witness your comments about my paper last autumn.
If I can find the time, I'll try to help you with this as much as I can.
San Diego sounds nice, but it's starting to get a little stale for LISA
veterans like myself. They held it in San Diego three years ago, and plans
are for them to hold it there again both this year and 2003 also, I believe.
Hey, there are other places they might try (LA, San Francisco, NY, Atlanta,
Miami, ...).
