Check in generated files?

My changes to gen-sidai-hosts have a number of generated files:

   ALL.xml		(installed as ../host/ALL.xml)
   Makefile.in		(used in gen-sidai-hosts/)
   configure.in		(used in gen-sidai-hosts/)
   configure		(used in gen-sidai-hosts/)
   freebsd.xml		(installed as ../host/freebsd.xml)
   ia32-freebsd.xml	(installed as ../host/ia32-freebsd.xml)

I gather that in general we aren't checking in generated files.

I think at least some of these files should be exceptions to this rule.
