I had a related problem with this. ark-prereq-utils seemed to try to 
reveal itself with LNDIR instead of LNDIR_BOOT. I modified my 
sidai:ark-prereq-utils to add the appropriate param line to the reveal 
field, but I've not committed it in case this wasn't the real source of 
the bug and I've done something else braindead instead.
