updates 2002.03.24

Folks, I've checked in a modest-few changes, for teams ARK
(a buglet fix or two to the ARK engine) and Sidai.  The only
thing of note in the latter was a little log-rotating thing,
which I am embarrassed/not-happy about [probably should have
built something on Red Hat's logrotate], but I was in a
hurry...

I am very pre-occupied with day-job things for at least a
couple more weeks.  However, the slowly-unfolding
ruminations about hosts/code/meta-ness have been a good
thing, and may they continue apace...
