Updates 2002-05-03

Hi all,

I've just committed a small bundle of changes, nothing major and nothing
that should break anything (touch wood). It's mostly small bug fixes and
portability and bootstrapping improvements.

I've got a bunch of pending changes to the sidai 'apache', 'openssl',
'openssh', 'openssh-config', and 'mod_ssl' packages, but I'm holding off on
them for the moment until I've thought about them a bit more.

My changes to 'openssh'/'openssh-config' removes all of the current patch
madness and uses a (hopefully) cleaner approach to deploying the right bits
and generating keys.

The 'apache'/'mod_ssl' stuff is much scarier. I couldn't get the current
apache+mod_ssl (1.3.24 and 2.8.8 respectively) to build on Solaris 8 using
the current sidai recipe. I had to drastically alter the mechanism to make
it work properly and I've not tried this in a multi-platform setting so I'm
unwilling to commit it just yet. If anyone can/wants-to try this for me,
please let me know and I'll supply a patch.

The 'openssl' change is minor but fixes a bogus dependency on the 'perl'
package. I've not committed this as it assumes you have a 'PERL' field set
on your hosts and I don't know if everyone does that or not (basically the
dependency moved into there instead).

I've also put together an 'apache2' package which I've not committed yet. I
couldn't get Apache 2.0.35 to work at all on Solaris 8 so I don't see much
point in putting it in there yet unless someone else wants to try it. On the
upside, the build process for SSL is much cleaner with apache2.
