AX_PTHREAD contains a use of the undocumented internal shell variable
$as_echo. Autoconf development trunk stopped setting this variable in 2013
(!) As of, um, today, it's been restored, but now it triggers a -Wobsolete
warning.
Please consider the attached patch, which changes it to use the documented
public interface AS_ECHO() instead.
