Details:

It looks for scala. If found it sets SCALA and SCALA_VERSION.

(The scala command is used to run compiled Scala code without adding the scala
library to the class path and to run uncompiled Scala)

PS! I'm currently trying to learn autoconf and would like feed back. If you
find an issue, even if it is so small you normally would ignore it, please let
me know.
