Follow-up Comment #3:
The original reporter has not responded to a query in more than two years, and
the suggested changes still make no sense to me, so I'm going to close this
bug report. I will happily reopen the report if anyone follows up with
concrete usage examples for AC_CONFIG_AUX_DIR that don't work with the
existing code, but seem like they ought to according to the documentation.
