On further thought, we have a pointer from
https://www.gnu.org/savannah-checkouts/gnu/autoconf/manual/autoconf-2.69/html_node/Pointers.html#Pointers
to the automake manual as a whole, and these are both manuals where you really
have to read the entire dang thing before you can do much of anything with the
software, so I think it's good enough for now.
