On OpenIndiana, Autoconf 2.69b fairs very poorly without the GNU utilities in the path. % echo $PATH /usr/openwin/bin:/usr/xpg4/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin I executed configure like: CONFIG_SHELL=/usr/bin/bash /home/bfriesen/src/gnu/autoconf-2.69b/configure because otherwise configure failed almost immediately due to ksh93's 'rm -f' being broken. I have attached the testsuite.log file.
