Work for log4cplus.

Curious amounts of things getting wrapped in case/esac but I am assuming 
that's intentional. E.g.:

-else \$as_nop
-  exitcode=1; echo positional parameters were not saved.
+else case e in #(
+  e) exitcode=1; echo positional parameters were not saved. ;;
+esac
