Hello, I have just posted the Beta release of Bacula version 1.35.2 to Source Forge. You will find both the source and the Win32 binaries there. The main changes for this release are: - A *really* cool and useful tray monitor for compliant X Window in particular Gnome and KDE. This program was written by Nicolas Boichat and can be very handy for an administrator. It requires version 1.35.2 to run. - The first cut of a Bacula Rescue CDROM -- see the documentation in the Rescue chapter of the document. Comments on the documentation would be appreciated as I found it difficult to combine the CDROM and the Floppy documentation, and it is possibly a bit confusing. - A number of bug fixes. - A good start on the French version of the manual by Ludovic Strappazon, and hopefully others shortly. - Added "Ignore FileSet Changes = yes" one of the more demanded features to prevent a Full backup after a FileSet change (use at your own risk). I'm running this in production, so consider it quite stable. Interestingly enough, I had exactly the same problem as Phil with my Win32 installation. It turned out to be an IPv4 resolution code problem that is most likely unrelated to Phil's problems, but the coincidence is a bit amusing. My focus for 1.35 will be: - to concentrate on resolving the reported bugs - make another cut at the CDROM rescue code - finish the documentation Best regards, Kern ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by BEA Weblogic Workshop FREE Java Enterprise J2EE developer tools!
