As an alternative to Sourceforge you can fetch source and windows
binary packages but also fully featured dar_static binaries for Linux/x86
from the _low bandwidth_ ftp server at:

Release 2.6.3 brings several bug fixes which are detailed in the extract

improvement ideas and testings of binary delta feature (more precisely
delta signatures).
