Release 2.6.10 brings several bug fixes which are detailed in the
extract of the Changelog below.

Thanks to Mihai Moldovan for simple typo and grammar fixes. Thanks
to Lars Wendler at Gentoo for feedback.

In parallel of this new maintenance release, branch 2.5.x will not be
supported any further. The 2.6.x branch is available for more than 2
years and after 10 maintenance releases is seen as very stable.
Developing 2.7.x branch and adding its new features is still under
work, patience :^)
