-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 Hi, as you guessed this was not spam! I don't know how sourceforge got to add this stupid [SPAM] flag in this previous email! Anyway, for this message to bring some useful information here is the current development status for dar/libdar: Implemented and tested features for releases 2.7.0: - - lz4 compression support, - - zstd compression support, - - multi-thread compression/decompression support for all compression algorithms with quite decent gain in time, - - multi-thread ciphering/deciphering support with also good performance gain, - - dar now accepts full slice name (when a shell completes a filenames), - - increasing time precision to nanosecond (feature currently under test) ...and some other less visible features to the users, but which should bring some performance improvement. What remains in the pipe for 2.7.0: - - selectable compression algorithm and compression level depending on a filename within the same archive (under evaluation of feasibility), - - providing a snap packaging (evaluation of feasibility has to be done first), - - cleaning up old API backward compatibility code, ...and maybe some other ones, if my free time allows it. The target pre-release date is the end of this year for a official 2.7.0 release in the few first months of 2021.
